









Edward S. Barr is the President and founder of E.S. Barr & Company. Prior to founding E. S. Barr & Company,
Ed was Executive Vice-President at First Security Bank prior to it's sale to Bank One (now JP Morgan Chase). In
that capacity, he was responsible for corporate finance matters including M&A, the sale of credit card portfolio
and establishing and managing a holding company regional bank equity portfolio. Ed also previously managed
several hundred million dollars of fixed-income assets for the bank including Treasuries, Agencies, Municipals,
Mortgage Backed Securities and Collateralized Mortgage Obligations. Ed is Chairman of the Triangle Foundation, a
philanthropic organization responsible for initiating, privately funding and building three parks in Lexington, and is
also Treasurer of Shakertown at Pleasant Hill. Ed graduated from the University of Kentucky with a B.B.A in
Finance in 1981.
Shannon Bradbury joined E.S. Barr & Company in June 2006. Shannon serves as our Chief Compliance Officer
and assists with client service. Prior to joining E.S. Barr & Company, Shannon was Assistant Vice President at
Fifth Third Bank. She worked in the Private Wealth Management department for over seventeen years. Shannon
began her career with Fifth Third in Cincinnati in the Estate Settlement area and later worked in the High Net Worth
group. In 2001, she relocated to the Lexington offices where she administered personal trust accounts in addition to
handling operations and compliance. Shannon graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a B.A. in Paralegal
Science.
Debbie Gallagher has been with E. S. Barr & Company since September 2000. She is responsible for daily
account reconcilliation, cost basis reporting and performance tracking. After graduating from the University of
Kentucky Debbie began her career with Second National Bank in Lexington, KY. Her experiences include customer
service, bookkeeping and office management. Debbie is a former Treasurer and a current member of the Junior
League of Lexington.
John Maddox joined E. S. Barr & Company as a partner in 1994 and is responsible for client service and
business development. John was previously Vice-President in commercial lending at First Security Bank and Bank
One. While attending the University of Kentucky he was Captain of the varsity football team and graduated with a
B.B.A in Finance. He is a member of the Lexington Rotary Club.
Michael Potapov, CFA joined E. S. Barr & Company in May 2006 and is responsible for researching individual
holdings as well as assisting in portfolio management. Before joining E. S. Barr & Co., Michael worked as a
financial advisor with Dupree Financial Group creating and maintaining asset allocation models as well as identifying
investment opportunities for individual investors. Michael is a magna cum laude graduate of Georgetown College
with a B. A. in Commerce, Language and Culture program as well as Music. He received his CFA charter in 2008
and is a member of the CFA Society of Louisville, KY and the CFA Institute. Michael serves on the Board of the Music Institute of Lexington.
